# Virtual numbers, freephone, premium and number porting

Choose the number that suits your callers, then decide which phones or apps should ring when someone calls it.

## Choose a number for your callers

Local 01/02 numbers can give your organisation a local presence. Non-geographic 03 numbers are charged like a local call and can suit nationwide services. Freephone 0800/0808 numbers are free for callers and can suit customer helplines. Premium-rate 09 numbers cost callers more and are used for paid advice lines; they are subject to UK premium-rate regulation.

## Ring a number on the device you choose

A virtual number is a phone number that can ring your desk phone, mobile, computer app or another agreed device. For example, a local number such as 020 7946 0123 can ring a reception desk and then a duty manager.

## Keep the number you already use

Number porting means you keep your existing number when you move to us. For example, a helpline using the reserved example 0808 157 0123 can discuss moving its number while keeping it familiar to callers.

## Works with every J-Voice service

The number can be used with the AI Receptionist, cloud PBX, IVR, call centre services, Microsoft Teams, desk phones, mobile phones, computer and phone apps, voicemail, call recording and transcription.

## Emergency calls

You can call emergency services on 999 and 112 from your J-Voice numbers. Keep your registered address up to date so emergency services can find you. Internet calling needs power and a working connection.
